Jamie Reynolds
 Jamie Reynolds is an in-demand jazz pianist in New York City. Born in Toronto into a musical family, Jamie began his piano studies early. He began playing jazz at the age of 15, while attending Etobicoke School of the Arts, and continued his studies at the University of Toronto's jazz performance program.
While studying with many Canadian jazz greats (David Braid, Gary Williamson, Brian Dickinson, Mike Murley, Kirk MacDonald, Phil Nimmons, Roy Patterson), Jamie began his professional performance career, appearing at top jazz clubs and festivals across Canada. As a member of renowned New York saxophonist Rob Scheps' Coretet, Jamie has toured the north-western United States and was an artist in residence at the Hambidge Center in Georgia in March 2004. In 2002 and 2004, Jamie participated in the Banff Centre Jazz and Creative Music Workshop, working with Dave Douglas, Bill Frisell, Jason Moran, Clarence Penn, Brad Turner, and others. From 2002 until 2005, Jamie and the co-lead group Exitman held a regular gig at the Rex Hotel in Toronto, and released their self-titled CD in 2004.
In August of 2005, Jamie moved to New York City to study with Fred Hersch on a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. He regularly performs with some of the city's best musicians, such as Chris Lightcap, Rodney Green, Rob Scheps, Anthony Pinciotti, Jay Anderson, Essiet Okon Essiet, Carlo DeRosa, Matt Wilson, Zach Brock, and Melissa Stylianou. He has performed at New York venues such as the Cornelia St. Café, the Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene's Grocery, the Carnegie Club, and Carnegie Hall. In the summer of 2007, Jamie travelled to Oslo, Norway, where he performed and recorded with Carl Stormer, George Wadenius, Cameron Brown, and Rob Scheps. Jamie teaches piano and composition at the 92nd St. Y in Manhattan.
