Thirty-five time internationally award-winning saxophonist and three-time Leo-nominated film composer Eli Bennett leads an exciting quartet comprised of Canada’s rising jazz stars. A two-time recipient of the CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award from the National Jazz Award and the Ottawa Jazz Festival, Eli was also awarded the prestigious Fred Sheratt Award from (MusiCounts/CARAS). Bennett’s Quartet has preformed across Canada including at festivals and concert series including the Vancouver Jazz Festival, Georgia Straight Jazz Society, the Netherlands Consulate for Queen Beatrix’s birthday celebration, and recently appeared on a live music segment for the popular TV series Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman. In 2013, Eli was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Premier of BC. The band is recording its debut album in Toronto this spring to be released on Addo distributed by Universal Canada/Conveyor.
