Grammy-nominated composer and drummer, Kevin Crabb, celebrates his debut disc, Waltz for Dylan, with two nights at Toronto’s Rex Hotel. Crabb, who hails from Toronto but has long been established in L.A., has played with a who’s who in the music world, including Patrice Rushen (Musical Director for the 46th, 47th & 48th Annual Grammy Awards), Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Phil Collins), John B. Williams (Tonight Show, Manhattan Transfer), John Beasley (Miles Davis), and Gary Grant (Al Jarreau, Barbra Streisand). On November 18th and 19th, Kevin’s quartet will play original music from Waltz for Dylan, which is currently on the ballot for a Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, (Individual or Group), and has been on the jazz charts since its release last month. The critically acclaimed album features nine tunes penned by Crabb, with the composer/bandleader on drums, John Beasley on piano, the legendary Don Thompson on bass, and Kelly Jefferson on saxophone.
