Rosemary Galloway

Rosemary Galloway is a jazz bassist, composer and band leader based in Toronto. Her credits include engagements playing with internationally recognized musicians such as Clark Terry, Vic Dickenson, Wild Bill Davison, Buddy Tate, Jay McShann, Jake Hanna, Warren Vache, Spanky Davis, Doc Cheatham and many others. Canadian artists include, Jim Galloway, Terry Clarke, Norman Amadio, Kathryn Moses, Tabby Johnson, and many others. She has composed for and recorded with her own groups The Swing Sisters, and Velvet Glove, and Jim Galloway’s Wee Big Band. Her most recent release is with the Jane Fair/ Rosemary Galloway Quintet, featuring original compositions on their new CD ‘Waltz Out’.
