This versatile trio released their latest album ‘A Road Forgotten’ in March 2010. These three musicians are also part of a larger quintet that includes trumpeter Mike Malone and Chris Gale on sax.

Bob Shields is a guitarist, composer, and teacher who works and lives in Southern Ontario, Canada. He has been playing guitar professionally for over 25 years and has had the fortune to play with many great musicians over this time, including: Mike Malone, Kevin Dempsey, Adrean Farrugia, Pat Collins, Dave Young, Jim Vivian, Chris Gale, Alex Dean, Mike Filice, Andrew Downing, Rob Fekete, Sue Ramsay, Clark Johnson, etc. Bob has performed in numerous countries including Japan, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland. A jazz musician who is constantly composing and learning more about music and the guitar, Bob is always motivated to explore. Bob’s guitar teachers have included Reg Schwager and Lorne Lofsky. He has an Honours degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto (’97) and an Applied Music Diploma from Mohawk College in Hamilton (’91). Bob is currently on full scholarship doing his Masters in Composition at York University in Toronto. Bob currently teaches at Mohawk College, McMaster University and York University.
Clark Johnston has studied and played with some of the best jazz musicians in Canada. In his 17 years of professional playing experience he has worked with Peter Appleyard, Mike Malone, Lina Allemano, John MacLeod, Kirk MacDonald, Mike Murley, Michael Stewart, Phil Dwyer, Bob Mover, Laila Biali, Tara Davidson, Chris Gale, Reg Schwager, Lorne Lofsky, Ted Quinlan, Roy Patterson, David Occhipinti, David Braid, Adrean Farrugia, Joe Sealy, Nancy Walker, Gord Webster, Dave Restivo, Richard Whiteman, Bernie Senensky, Brian Dickinson, Ted Warren, Kevin Dempsey, Barry Romberg, Archie Alleyne, Bob McLaren, Laila Biali, Jude Johnson, Sue Ramsey, Tori Cassis, Heather Bambrick as well as many other great great musicians.Clark is on faculty at McMaster University and Mohawk College. Holding a bachelor of music from McGill University, Clark is currently working on a masters in composition at York University.
Adam Fielding is a versatile drummer who was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. He has been busy on the local music scene for the past fifteen years. He studied under Kevin Dempsey, Ted Warren, the legendary Jim Blackley and Master tabla player Achyut Ram Bhandari. Adam is a graduate of the Mohawk College Music Program receiving the Lee Hepner Scholarship and achieving Honour Roll status. He is furthering his education at the University of Toronto majoring in Jazz Performance. In recent years Adam has played with Grammy Award winner Gary Smulyan, Rob Fekete, Pat Collins and Dave McMurdo to name only a few. Adam is currently working in the trio Shields, Johnston & Fielding which has recently released their debut album ‘A Road Forgotten’.
