Guitarist, composer and educator James Brown has been a long time staple on the Canadian jazz scene and his trio features Anthony Michelli and Clark Johnston. The groups seem list features critically acclaimed original tunes by Brown along with tasty standards and not so standard tunes by Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and the Beatles. James’ most recent recording Song Within the Story was released in 2022 (NGP Records) and features guest tenor sax giant Mike Murley.
