Samantha Selci is a Toronto based singer and audio engineer, originally hailing from the prairies. She has toured Canada extensively with her solo project Selci, with music that has been describes as “dreamy and atmospheric, with silky vocals that shine”- Indie88. Samantha started as a folk artist in her home town Winnipeg, where she completed a degree in Classical voice and continued in the contemporary realm. Her sound has changed over the years as she’s explored alternative, dance, R&B and ambient pop over the span of two EPs and two albums.

Says Selci: “Joni’s repertoire is the epitome of a true artist; prolific, virtuosic, idiomatic, and deeply poetic. It that it pulls at a sense of truth and understanding within the listener. The repertoire at this concert will cover all of Joni’s eras with an emphasis on her earlier work, without overlooking her later era. Starting with “Chelsea Morning” and “Both Sides Now” off of Clouds, and ending with “Jericho” from Don Juans Reckless Daughter “The Dry Cleaner From Des Moines” from Mingus. You can expect a number of songs from Blue. Overall we’re aiming to showcase as many Joni classics as possible including “Help Me,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” “Coyote,” and my personal favourite “Woodstock.”
