An engaging, lyrical saxophonist, Mike Murley is one of Canada’s most celebrated jazz artists. He has played on fourteen Juno Award-winning recordings since 1990, seven as a leader or co-leader, seven as a sideman. His most recent Junos include The North (2018), Metalwood’s Twenty (2017) and his trio’s Test of Time (2013).
Heather Bambrick is a JUNO and ECMA nominated vocalist and an award-winning host on Toronto’s JAZZ.FM91. She’s worked with renown artists in various styles, including Rob McConnell, Fred Hersch, Guido Basso, Peter Appleyard, Phil Nimmons, Kenny Wheeler, Ian Shaw, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
The Canadian Jazz Cruise band features some of the finest artists in the country whose collective resumés include work with Dizzy Gillespie, Moe Koffman, Diana Krall, Cedar Walton, Jimmy Cobb, Herb Elis, Lee Konitz, Oscar Peterson, Joe Henderson, and countless other national and international artists.
