Grooveyard is a sizzling soulful band with an unmatched energy and ability to engage a crowd, and we’ve done thousands of clubs, parties, weddings, and charity and corporate events. Everyone in the band is individually a great musician, with a vast knowledge of many styles of music, but the most important factor in the band is we’re all friends who love playing music together!
Grooveyard’s repertoire draws on everything from new pop to classic funk and soul, reggae, disco, ‘80’s new wave, classic rock, and, when required for weddings, traditional music (yes, we do a great horah!). The band puts its own distinct stamp on the music it performs and the group is definitely not just another cover band. Flexible in its size (the band performs dance music as everything from its core 5-piece to a 10-piece with multiples singers, horns, and percussion), Grooveyard is able to break into smaller groups for different functions (for example, a classical flute/guitar duo for wedding ceremonies, cocktail piano, or a jazz trio for dinner music) and coordinate everything for a seamless evening of music.
Grooveyard works closely with each client to make sure every event goes smoothly. We know all the sound companies and venues, and we’re very up front if we think you’re being overcharged or can do better. Our goal is to make sure that everyone in attendance leaves remembering that they had a great time with a great band, which is why Grooveyard benefits from so many positive word-of-mouth referrals.
