NYC-based pianist, Henry Hey, returns to The Rex. Regular patrons of the club will recognize Henry from his many past performances. He has appeared multiple times as part of Juno Award-winner Chris Tarry’s band, as well as with his groove-based instrumental quartet, Forq. Perhaps most famously, Henry performed on many occasions with his celebrated group, Rudder, featuring saxophonist Chris Cheek, bassist Tim Lefebvre, and drummer Keith Carlock.
Now, Henry brings his fresh new piano trio to The Rex stage. With a vibrant set of original compositions and some beloved gems from the jazz lexicon, this dynamic trio promises an exciting evening. Joining Henry are international jazz heroes Jochen Rueckert on drums and Hamish Smith on bass.
