Kevin Quain - Piano

Kevin Quain is a singer-songwriter, self-taught musician, producer, leader of the garage jazz cabaret ensemble Mad Bastards, and an award-winning playwright who has been operating out of Toronto's historic Cameron House for over two decades, playing in the bar downstairs, and writing and creating recordings for himself and scores of other artists in dozens of genres in his studio upstairs.

He received the 2004 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Musical for his play "Tequila Vampire Matinee". He has written music and songs for film, theatre, dance and television, and has performed in dozens of bands in a wide range of genres including folk, (Michelle Rumball), country & western (Cameron Family Singers), Tex-Mex (Rancho Misterio), Celtic Punk (The Mahones) as well as his own band, Mad Bastards who held sway in the front lounge of the Cameron House on Sunday nights for 18 years.
